How do I extend this drapery rod? - metal drapery rods
I bought a curtain rod in the 48-84 target states that "long, and I need more time than 48 inches is, but I have no idea how to make it longer. It looks like a bar of solid metal, but it sounds like something is inside. How do I expand, I can not move / rotate, I tried .... Thanks.

hmmm that is strange, now there are 2 separate bars in the package or just the bar? Stem cells is usually the home of the other extending the longest (84 "), where .... Are you sure that this is not another bar in one? Put May.
It might be possible for a customer and the 2nd bar does not mean that the package be returned. I bought a few bars of the same length, what you have. (48-84), and there were 2 separate bars within it, if a rod of smaller diameter than the diameter of sliding bar in the other major.
Good luck and if you can not solve, return the defective product.
Unless, of course, a screw, it must be able to pull each end to make it longer. Two pieces of metal, has slipped into another. Try to take very strong.
